Coherent Solutions Ltd (Coherent Solutions) warrants from the delivery date of the original shipment (the Warranty Period) that the product supplied with this warranty statement (the Product) will conform to specifications and will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the applicable warranty term from the date of shipping from Coherent Solutions premises. Coherent Solutions also warrants that the equipment will meet applicable specifications under normal use. This warranty is personal to the first buyer of the Product (Customer) and is not transferable.
Excluded from this warranty is software used to manage the Coherent Solutions devices and the firmware embedded in these devices. The Coherent Solutions End User License Agreement stipulates conditions pertaining to the Coherent Solutions software and firmware, and allows for a 90-day limited warranty from the date of purchase of the software license.
Coherent Solutions does not provide warranties in respect of items that do not carry the Coherent Solutions brand and instead will only pass on to you the benefit of the actual manufacturer’s warranty.
If the Customer experiences a problem with the Product and cannot resolve the problem by phone or email with Coherent Solutions Technical Support, a Return Material Authorisation Number (RMA) will be issued. The Customer can download, complete and return the RMA Request Form from the Coherent Solutions Website or it can be sent to the customer by either email or fax. The Customer is then responsible for returning the Product to Coherent Solutions, freight prepaid, together with the RMA. A warranty claim must be received by Coherent Solutions within the Warranty Period.
On verification of a defect Coherent Solutions will, at its discretion, repair, replace (freight prepaid), or issue credit for any defective product, as well as verify and adjust the product free of charge should the equipment need to be repaired or if the original calibration is erroneous. If the equipment is sent back for verification of calibration during the warranty period and found to meet all published specifications, Coherent Solutions will charge standard calibration fees at its option.
Coherent Solutions shall not be liable for damages resulting from the use of the product, nor shall be responsible for any failure in the performance of other items to which the product is connected or the operation of any system of which the product may be a part.
Nor is Coherent Solutions liable for damages resulting from improper usage, transportation or unauthorized modification of the product, its accompanying accessories and software.
Coherent Solutions reserves the right to make changes in the design or construction of any of its products at any time without incurring obligation to make any changes whatsoever on units purchased. Accessories, including but not limited to fuses, pilot lamps, batteries and universal interfaces (EUI) used with Coherent Solutions products are not covered by this warranty.
This warranty excludes failure resulting from: improper use or installation, normal wear and tear, accident, abuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning or other acts of nature, causes external to the product or other factors beyond the control of Coherent Solutions.
Coherent Solutions will charge a fee for replacing optical connectors that were damaged due to misuse or bad cleaning.
The warranty can become null and void if:
- The unit has been tampered with, repaired, or worked upon by unauthorized individuals or non-Coherent Solutions personnel.
- The warranty sticker has been removed.
- The case screws have been removed.
- The case has been opened.
- The unit serial number has been altered, erased, or removed.
- The unit has been misused, neglected, or damaged by accident.
Except for the above warranty, Coherent Solutions gives no representations or warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to the Product.
In no event will Coherent Solutions be responsible to the Customer or any other person in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damage or loss suffered by the Customer or any other person.
