Sep 21, 2018 – COHERENT SOLUTIONS LTD, MULTILANE INC and NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS will demonstrate pluggable transceiver testing conducted exclusively on the PXI platform at the upcoming ECOC exhibition in Rome.

The live demonstration will perform production tests on a 100G QSFP28 transceiver using new PXI modules from Coherent Solutions and MultiLane in a single NI 18-slot PXI Express chassis.

The all-in-one test platform is a scalable, cost-effective solution for network equipment manufacturers of the next generation of 400G transceivers.

Offering seamless integration with NI’s electrical signal generation and analysis modules, the new modules from Coherent Solutions and MultiLane can help engineers simplify the design of complex test systems resulting in significant time and cost savings.

Coherent Solutions will be showcasing several new PXI Express optical modules to join their existing PXI Express product portfolio. The new modules include the OSAPXIe optical spectrum analyser in a compact 2-slot design, the PowerPXIe optical power meter with analog option, SwitchPXIe 8×8 matrix optical switch and the PassivePXIe module for passive optical component integration.

MultiLane will be unveiling their new PX Series of PXI test modules. The PX Series consists of modules for TDR and DAC testing, 28/56 GBaud PAM4 BERTs for receiver testing, and electrical and optical sampling oscilloscopes for transmitter testing. This broad portfolio of PXI modules enables the testing of 100G to 400G copper and optical interfaces.
